Job Description

What You Will Do

Cerence is looking for an end-to-end Connected AI Device Solutions – Operations Engineer to manage day to day operations engineering activities of the next generation of Connected Automotive AI Device Platform. Candidate will be responsible for working on operations activities for managing the performance, scalability and reliability end-to-end platform that will manage millions of devices and conduct millions of transactions per second with low latencies.

Responsibilities:

• Work on operation activities to setup & manage automotive cloud services.
• Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation
• Propose technical approaches to implementing solutions within the scope of customer requirements.
• Responsible for debugging issues reported, collecting logs and doing initial investigation before passing the issues to next level in case of no resolution
• Facilitate application lifecycle operations like upgrades with no downtime, rollback, operational data collection, real-time monitoring, self-healing, and repair.

What You Need

Essential Skils

• B.E./B. Tech degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of Software design and Development, Design Patterns, Object oriented design, layered architectures, distributed systems or Micro-services architecture including SaaS at scale
• Acceptable understanding of API design and implementation using and developing Web services/RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, JSON
• Experience with cross-platform development: Java/SpringBoot, Javascript/Nodejs, Python is good
• 1+ years’ experience with Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure), data streaming (Spark, Flink, Kafka streams, storm, etc.). Experience in Kafka
• Experience with Data stores such as MongoDB, Aurora, RDS, Containers, and Cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, etc
• Familiarity with web servers and load balancing technologies.
• Experience in use of source code management system like SVN or GIT and build tools like ant, maven, Gradle or make.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Git, GitHub, Jenkins/CruiseControl.

Desired Skills

• Hands-on experience on Setup/Build Cloud Solutions and closely work with DevOps
• An understanding of Telematics, Mapping Applications, or Mobile Resource Management is good
• Experience with Android Apps design & development is a plus.
• Experience with web based technologies, such as CSS3, HTML5 and AJAX.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, Documentation skills needed/ Swaggar a plus
